Buondi', vediamo di cosa si tratta in quest'Index e soprattutto cosa ci dice di cosi' importante; innazitutto dove si misura: negli Oceani e nei mari minori come il Mediterraneo, Mar Nero, Mar Caspio.

Ho trovato questo topic molto interessante e dimostrativo di tante cose, in più ho trovato una stretta correlazione tra il PDI del nord atlantico e l'indice AMO.

Io si sono un asino:cry:, tutti quei grafici faccio una fatica boia a leggerli Andrew. Quello che capisco lo comprendo grazie alle vostre spiegazioni. Ho grossissime lacune di base, però ho tanta voglia di imparare quindi non dispero. Ora provo a fare una domanda sperando non sia stupida: é l'AMO che determina il PDI o viceversa? Quando l'eccedenza di calore accumolato negli oceani sarà esaurito, avremo speranze di riavere un clima meno estremo?

Il PDI ma non solo determina il surplus oceanico e di conseguenza è correlato con l'AMO. Certo quando gli oceani avranno smaltito il surplus potremo avere meno eventi estremi, ma quando??

Molto probabilmente è il surplus di calore oceanico che determina un aumento del PDI ( +calore presente +calore potenzialmente dissipato in atmosfera ). Alle fasi di AMO+ corrispondono SST più elevate e il PDI tende ad aumentare, nelle fasi di AMO- avviene il contrario. Si può dedurre che il PDI sia influenzato dall'AMO, e rappresenti quindi un effetto delle variazioni delle SST del nord atlantico.

Il Power Dissipation Index, è sopra tutti gli index oceanici. Senza d'esso, non si puo' né leggerli , né tantomeno registrarli.

Quando finira' il surplus oceanico ?' VAle 1.000.000.000.000.000.000. di $ , questa domanda. . . :asd::ovvio:. [ non v'è al mondo chi possa rispondere..]
